Q7. Looking back at the preliminary task what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to a full product?
As you can see from the photos above, I have gained a lot of Photoshop skills since creating the first cover on the left at the start of the year. During the preliminary task, I learnt that you need to take into account when props, costumes the people I wanted in the school magazine before finally taking photographs. This therefore helped me to understand why these initial tasks are so important to do before creating your final one. Deciding a colour scheme, for example, I needed to grasp the audience. My first cover did not do this but my final piece did just that. I ended up having to also find a proper place to take photos of my model holding props I chose for her to be wearing a shirt in my final piece but just whatever she had on for the school magazine.
